The theme “Frozen Dreams and Abstract Realities: Winter’s Dual Nature” lends itself to a variety of interpretations in different media. My submission explores oil on paper, encaustic and collage to picture the changes in nature that winter brings when hiking in the mountains or walking along the seashore or just looking out of the window. From the slopes of the Jura in France to the shores of Montauk, Long Island, and the view from our window in Dorset, Vermont, snow is the constant winter companion.
