Greenwich Village Midday

acrylic on canvas
Size: 20 x 20

Greenwich Village Morning features Jefferson Market Library on Sixth Avenue between 10th and 9th Streets. I grew up nearby and I used to pass by it on my way to elementary school. Later on, on my way to NYU and to many life events, professional and personal, over the years. Greenwich Village has changed a lot since I lived there. It no longer has the bohemian vibe that attracted so many artists, writers and performers in the fifties, sixties and seventies. Many of the buildings and businesses are gone too, casualties of gentrification. However, the library always brings back memories of those halcyon days.

Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
