As we are continually faced with challenges and crisis, my work gives inspiration. It features a moment of respite where we grasp the success from our struggles.
I layer textured symbols of hope between transparent veils of color. I let brushstrokes and paint drips show to add movement and impermanence as the figure becomes enveloped into and supported by the colorfields.
It is easy to be negatively impacted by our social environment. My paintings suggest we gleane mindful clarity from our surroundings.
