Andy’s Flowers

acrylic & collage
Size of Piece: 16 x 24 x .75

Andy Warhol was a leading figure in the Pop Art movement. While identified with NYC, he was born and raised in western PA where he graduated from Carnegie Tech. He left town for NYC and rarely returned.

When he graduated, Pittsburgh was full of industrial fog, dust and pollution from steel mills.

The American Lung Association released a 2025 air quality report indicating the air quality in the region has not improved since Andy’s days. The steel mills still produce pollution and we have added fracking and carbon capture to the mix.

Inspired by Andy’s flowers I painted similar ones & added an abstract cow as farms are threatened by current contaminations.

Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
