inked plexi plates, printed on rives bfk paper
23 x 24 x 24″
As I approached working away from my studio during the Covid 19 ‘stay at home’ order, I worked small, using material that I had at hand, including family debris monoprints, created by layering inked printing plates with my family’s ephemeral & permanent cast offs, a record of the mundane and obsolete. After completing a large series of small ‘art in isolation’ mixed media prints, I went 3d, using double sided family debris monoprints as components for building sculptural forms. Folded paper vessels were stitched together to create abstract sculptures that pushed the limits of paper, ink and thread.
