Who are you?
oil, acrylic on canvas
22 x 18

This work explores the fragile boundary between inner identity and external perception. A handwritten phrase within the composition — “The world teaches us to forget ourselves… but who are you?” — becomes a central conceptual element, framing the figure’s introspective state.

The fragmented portrait emerges through layers of fluid paint, suggesting a process of self-recognition and reconstruction. The contrast between controlled figurative rendering and uncontrolled, flowing elements reflects the tension between social conditioning and inner truth.

Through this work, I examine the act of remembering oneself in a world that imposes self-forgetting through social standards.
