Who am I? Who are you? Usually we see ourselves or others from a single perspective–especially in photography. That is why many celebrities feel they must only be photographed from a certain (most flattering) angle. But Picasso understood that even when we are looking at an object, a person we are really seeing everything we know about that individual. He applied this concept especially when depicting his beloveds and his rejected beloveds. I love the idea of multiple images incorporated into a photo, a medium that theoretically only captures a single moment in time.
