My work is representational though interpretive. I want the viewer to move between planes and have begun to layer using several techniques and medium to achieve this. Our eyes are constantly focusing, refocusing and readjusting as we view the world around us and I try to manipulate this effect through my work. I see energy in our surroundings. I am striving to transfer that immediate ‘colpo di fulmine’, that ‘love at first site’ onto my canvas or paper as I work on 2-3 pieces at the same time, moving from one piece to the next.
