“When I was young I remember my Mom talking about the Women’s Rights Movement. Even as a child I understood that we all deserved to be treated equally so figured the movement would succeed. So, I focused on the need to protect the environment and animals. Half a century later, women are still treated as second class citizens struggling for our inherent rights and we are in the middle of an extinction crisis. What is to be done? One thing that can be done is to create Art that exposes the unbalanced way of thinking that drives inequality and the destruction of environment and wildlife.” – Kathleen Zimmerman
