As I sat on a Chelsea Pier in New York City, a young woman stood at the rail, watching. The vision inspired the original ink drawing on 11″x14″ watercolor paper. “The River” is part of my latest series translating my small plein air drawings into larger oil paintings. This painting is 18″x24″ (plus 1″ frame).
