Drawing is at the base of all my artwork. Charcoal is a medium I rarely use but find it is malleable and allows great variety with changing pressure and angle. I made it out of my head in a moment of need to see what the charcoal would say with me. Our rhythms jibed. I found texture and harmony while making this drawing. I named it “Inside” because it feels like an internal, private moment.
