The wish for warmth and shelter after an earthquake and in the face of a winter storm is the subject of this sculpture. In 2005 the residents of the Vale of Kashmir huddled against the cold and wind in just those conditions. I was working on the plastilene model for this bronze in the summer time and could not shake the chill.
