Standing Firm, After Tuck Langland (sculpture)

Visiting Brookgreen Gardens in Murrell’s Inlet, in South Carolina is always special. I found the sculptures of “Tuck” Langland and this one spoke to me, as I have done yoga all my adult life, and this figure is in the well-known tree pose. The harmony of the sculpture with the live oak and Spanish moss backdrop spoke to me, and I portrayed it in watercolor on paper.
