I find calm and comfort in the shapes used Mid-century art, particularly by Calder in his mobiles. This is why I am drawn to the leave of the eucalyptus. After a long series of realist still-lifes of these beauties, I began to play with them in the abstract. Here they are floating on what I imagine are good feelings and hope.
