This scene was inspired by a visit to Pt Reyes in Northern California with my sister who lives in San Francisco. The beauty and wildness of these beaches was something I hadn’t experienced before, living near Philadelphia. Not a beach for swimming. I also learned about the invasion of the ice plant in the foreground. It was a beautiful red color but very harmful to the local plant and animal life.
