I am trying out some new mediums in these small works, using cradled wood and thicker paints as well as portraying the more muted colors of winter. In “Dancing in the Northern Lights” I am using painted clay shapes to contrast the stiffness in the dancing trees with the fluidity of the northern lights behind them.
