“You Are Not Alone” is a narrative found object assemblage wall-relief sculpture. It was inspired by a news report about the increase in teen suicide. When interviewing family members and friends, they repeatedly said they did not have a clue that the person was struggling. It breaks my heart. I feel that as a society we need to do much better in terms of connecting with each other. Get together, or call, or write and check in on each other. If you are struggling, you do not have to do it alone. Build a support system, seek help, talk with your friends and family. No one should be left to feel alone.
