Every summer we would stay on the bluff overlooking the Skidaway River. On the incoming tide, we would put on our bathing suits and our tennies to go swimming in the river. But you had to be careful not to get cut by the oysters and the Spartina grass. That and rowing the bateau out to catch crabs and play with the dolphins was the best.
