One of a series of works inspired by maps. In this series, I explore how we read images and interpret them as a map of a place on land or sea, or even a celestial map. The works in this series all begin with a blurry, monotone, monoprint background. The “map” is then created upon that surface, with acrylic paint applied with brushes, pens and unconventional materials such as bits of torn cardboard or crumpled foil.
