For me, inspiration comes from ideas about how the universe works. Nikola Tesla said, “If you want to find the secrets of the universe, think in terms of energy, frequency and vibration.”
Combining preparation and planning with spontaneous, intuitive action I am on an experimental journey with watercolor to examine the natural world. My previous work was in oil, acrylic or pastel. Watercolor enables radiance with layers of transparency clearly showing the immediacy of the medium laid out over the underlying organized structure of the composition. The thought-provoking question of our reality is apparent in the ethereal nature of art where images vibrate with intensity of color and emotion and offer much more than the visual, something beyond the surface .
