I make art that highlights the resiliency and adaptability of people, nature, and New York City.
My 2D art focuses on transporting paintings in watercolor – e.g. bringing the viewer to moments in the city and our natural surroundings. I use vibrant, transparent colors, always thinking about where the light drives the image.
In contrast, when creating art sculptures, I focus on cuts to make shadows in alabaster, limestone, clay, and cement castings. The materials allow for elegant lines that highlight the changing fauna/flora as waters evolve.
