Secret Triangles
A painting is a way to empathize with human experiences on a universal level. Non-material ideologies are realized through non-objective painting. My recent paintings address secrecy, buoyancy, levity, themes of duality and continuity, connectivity, energy, fragility, microcosm versus macrocosm, and more. For me, a painting might include: the physicality of the material world; immaterial intangibilities such as time, imagination and subconscious thought; past experience; historical influence and context; formal visual elements such as color, line, shape, or form; literal or veiled intents and communications; ontological expression, symbols and meaning, universal emotions, conceptual decision-making, and persistent chromatic energy. I urge color and value toward reification, the gestalt perception of an object as having more spatial information than is present, while utilizing limited or elemental, inherently frontal forms. Different interpretations are highly possible.
