My inspiration for the wall hanging comes from the limitations women have in the workplace and in life. You Should Be… speaks to the expectations society dictates to women that can either impede or advance their opportunities. The partial list is written in the left side of the piece. I have been recently working on wall hangings that give me the freedom to express myself without the restraints of the “normal” picture plane,, ie., square, rectangle, etc.
