Winter presents a dichotomy of emotions and feelings to me. On the one hand, the holidays render it a festive time of year replete with family gatherings and traditions. In Polar Caps, I was referencing glaciers and ice fields in the northern latitudes and how extremely quiet and lonely it must be. This is the true duality of winter.
