I am an encaustic artist which means that I paint with resin and beeswax. I leverage my advanced degrees in Invertebrate Zoology and Marine Ecology to inform my point of view. I paint memories of growing up along the rural coast of New England. ‘Ocean Floor’ is the essence of many summers spent along the waters edge, turning over rocks and sorting through seaweed. It harkens back to simpler times spent outdoors with nature for entertainment.
