Squaring the Circle– Structure is dancing with the intuitive, both are needed. The expression “squaring the circle” is sometimes used as a metaphor for trying to do the impossible. A women’s work is never done. Mindfulness is key. If you say that someone squares the circle, you mean that they bring together two things, which are normally thought to be so different that they cannot exist together. Mathematically, it has to do with irrational and rational numbers and mathematicians have been working on it since ancient Greece. A woman’s world today is complicated. The circle and spiral are in many ways more home than the square, but we live in a square world of houses and books and cities.
