After art school, I lived in Alaska for several years, an experience which profoundly impacted me and my art. After long winters, as the snow started to melt and the ice started to break, unique colors emerged throughout all of nature. In “Summer Creekside”, I play with darks and lights to re-create the bright Alaska summer nights when the sun would set close to midnight.
