After five years of persistent statewide drought, rampant wildfires seemed to consume much of the formerly spectacular California landscape. Shortly thereafter the rains came, and formerly barren areas could not absorb the water. Such a paradox… too little water, too much water, in just three months’ time. Climate change is real.
