Hand-formed porcelain sculpture with an opal

I hand-form all of my porcelain nature-themed sculptures. I often create abstract or approach realism in my forms. I have always been drawn to flower forms and this is an example. I recently began embedding gemstones to some works to add an element of visual surprise. I chose a fiery opal for this which recalls a tiny water drop on the tip of a petal.
