An Online Exhibition of Women Fine Artists
thenawa.org
February 1 – 28, 2026
Online Reception, Thursday, February 12, 2026, 5-6pm
This online exhibition celebrates small-scale works created by women fine artists. Size contributes to the essence and power of these pieces.
This online exhibit is held twice yearly, in the winter and summer seasons. While not thematic in focus, these small pieces, measuring 15 inches or smaller in any direction are made with meticulous detail, and provide high impact.
The small format pieces available in the Online Winter Small Works Exhibit are the creations of both NAWA Signature Members and non-members working in various mediums.
About NAWA
The National Association of Women Artists (NAWA), founded in 1889, stands as the first professional women’s organization established in the United States.
Five pioneering women sought to address the lack of opportunities for women artists. Anita C. Ashley, Adele Francis Bedell, Elizabeth S. Cheever, Grace Fitz-Randolph, and Edith Mitchill Prellwitz spearheaded a vital alternative to the restrictions of the day, providing a supportive network and avenues for exhibition.
