The NAWA PR Committee, co-chaired by Jen Haefeli and Rhian Swain, recently rolled out a four-chapter-wide rebranding initiative, aimed at providing cohesion from the center outward.
From news on events, exhibitions, Art Calls, and opportunities available to our membership, the goal of PR is to serve as a resource and platform for the incredible talent within NAWA. The PR Committee strives to provide ongoing assistance to our membership, offering personal relationships and timely responses to questions and inquiries, while maintaining up-to-date information.
The Fall launch of NAWA NOW Magazine’s redesign by the magazine staff offered our artists the opportunity to market their work in the magazine. In addition to this change, the PR Committee has worked hard to facilitate an ongoing social media campaign targeting audiences for art and collections, with the goal of purchasing art created by women. Targeted graphic boosting is utilized to increase awareness of exhibitions and openings. Sharing these graphics within your network, sending them to your newsletter list, and inviting collectors to NAWA exhibitions can be a fruitful opportunity to create a collector base for NAWA artists. These resources place your work in front of a global audience.
Our online viewership and analytics are growing exponentially this year, thanks to our improved initiatives. The number of non-members viewing NAWA member work has grown, and we continue to see growth in outreach. We are working hard to promote the work of NAWA artists, and we value your feedback. If you are interested in learning more about the PR Committee and the work that we do to create graphics, manage social media campaigns, develop advertising, draft press releases, and print materials, or if you’re interested in getting involved, we welcome you. We strive to maintain the roots of our foundation while striking a balance with modernization.
PR works closely with the Executive Team, the Exhibition Committee, the Membership Committee, NAWA NOW Magazine and our weekly newsletter, This Week With NAWA, to create the visual brand and voice of NAWA. Our campaigns are intended to reflect the voice and energy of this organization. We create these resources to hand you the mic. We make our voices bolder with these platforms, and we can make the load lighter with more hands. We have created something together, and we hope that you will utilize it with us.
