Sandra Bertrand is a New York City-based fine artist, arts journalist, playwright and member of the National Association of Women Artists (NAWA), Founding Editor of the quarterly magazine, NAWA NOW, and member of the Art Students League. She is Chief Art Critic for Highbrow Magazine (www.highbrowmagazine.com.) and Travel and Cultural Editor for Sanctuary-Magazine (www.sanctuary-magazine.com. Her interests in all aspects of the arts, as well as her travels, are often reflected in her artwork. An immediacy and expressionistic style resonate in her paintings of landscapes, figurative portraiture, and other subject matter. She is currently working on a Strong Women series of portraits based on famous women artists and writers who have inspired her.
