Painting and drawing are my primary languages—the tools I use to interpret and experience the world. For me, art is not about “producing” a final product; it is a process of searching, an inner dialogue, and a constant evolution of ideas. While I have painted my entire life, 2014 marked a pivotal shift when I was able to dedicate myself fully to my creative practice. Since the pandemic, my focus has sharpened on the figure and the portrait. I am deeply interested in the human condition, exploring the emotions and conflicts found in everyday situations. Inspired by the tradition of artists like Alice Neel and Frank Auerbach, I work from a range of sources, including live models, old photographs, and candid moments captured on the streets of New York City. Whether using oils, acrylics, or mixed media, my goal is to create complex, vibrant forms that reflect my own experiences and identity.
