Drawing upon childhood events to present day, my art is rooted in past as well as present experiences. unearthing both hauntingly dark and exhilarating emotions. Partly hidden through the spirited use of bold color, line and active brushstroke, I tell my stories through a visual language that is sometimes straightforward, sometimes ambiguous, sometimes symbolic. I am always looking inward uncovering buried realities. I recount personal narratives giving voice to what was and what is. My work brings to light my journey as an artist.
