Flowers remain essential to her work, with tulips, hydrangeas, poppies, rare proteas, and especially sunflowers often taking center stage. Each painting begins with a collection of fabrics and vessels, often joined by borrowed or newly discovered pieces. She explores pattern and rhythm—polka dots, stripes, and the shifting shadows of studio light—until the scene feels complete. As flowers begin to wilt, Robbins releases strict realism and leans into heart and memory.
