I have been exploring color relationships and the interplay between shapes, light, and shadow for my entire career. Color is the driving force behind all of my art, and experimenting with a variety of mediums, materials, and sizes is an integral part of my creative process. I do not limit myself to one painterly approach; rather, I work through an idea or a theme to create a series, and then I use an element from that series as a jumping off point for newer work. My style is constantly fluid and evolving. My art is self-contained and refers to nothing outside of itself; it needs no explanation to be fully understood. The goal of my art is to elicit an emotional response from a viewer. I hope that the colors, shapes, textures, and methods that I use speak for themselves and communicate a visual harmony that I seek to achieve.
