My non-figurative work is dominated by a strong connection to the fragile ecology surrounding us and by the cultural fragility I have observed in Cuba, Japan and Western Europe. These paintings invite the viewer to consider life’s unanswered questions, deeper feelings, and, sometimes, the “duende.”
