My paintings are not only my visceral response to my human experience but also my sentinel of hope, promise and belief in the vast opportunity for mankind to change, overcome and heal. A deep fascination of human behavior, cultural values, symbology, beliefs and principles inform my work along with bold, colorful palettes as well as a distinctively different and unique perspective. As a record keeper and storyteller of elements of human cultural history my work is curated depending on the current social climate and cultural direction. My deepest desire with my art is to stimulate discussion, open new avenues of thought, give the viewer a profoundly moving experience, and transport them out of their current reality. I believe Art is essential to life and can lead us back to ourselves and reconnect us on a primal level. It is one of the ingredients in the primordial soup of Life that feeds us, sustains, heals us and I believe will… ultimately save us.
