My paintings invite the viewer to put together pieces of visual information to create meaning. The information is given through the juxtaposition of dark and light, and brushstrokes of color activating form, pattern and texture. Pure color and a distilled palette take the image down to its emotional essence. My love of nature is expressed through vigorous brush strokes, and creates a vision meant to be welcoming and emotional.
