Mary Eggers

Mary Eggers is both an award-winning visual artist that has been creating art since the late 70s and a published poet who has been writing most of her adult life. Art and poetry are part of her spiritual journey; she feels most centered when doing something creative. In his book, Letters to a Young Poet, poet Rainer Maria Rilke writes, “…one slowly learns to recognize the very few Things … that one can love and something solitary that one can gently take part in.” Art and poetry are her “very few Things.” She has studied with many visual artist and the poet Judyth Hill and is active in two poetry groups . Her paintings have been exhibited in galleries from New York City to California. She is a signature member of the National Association of Women Artists, the International Society of Acrylic Painters, the Baltimore Watercolor Society and the Potomac Valley Watercolorist.
