I have a love of the landscape, and seek to interpret the feeling of a place in my work. Viewing a scene while riding in a car or train, I will sketch bits and pieces of the voyage and meld them into one final image. I work primarily in oils on either canvas, or most recently on wood panels. I do sketches in watercolors, colored pencil, pastels, or collage. I also incorporate my own photography to work from within the studio. II work in layers of color to achieve a glow in the colors and a blending of subtle shades and hues. I have been a member of NAWA since 2004 and am also a member of the South Carolina. I served as Treasurer and Web Manager of the NAWA South Carolina chapter for 4-1/2 years.
