As an architect, artist, and environmentalist I have focused on the confluence of built structures and nature. Most of my artwork has dealt with building into fragile ecosystems and the conflict between natural and architectural systems. I also focus on the positive and regenerative process of nature. By painting the flora in greenhouses I intended to evoke joy and beauty. The geometric patterns of the greenhouse structures are in counterpoint to the flowing and evolving patterns of plant life.
