Lisa Penny
Beginning in publishing and media design, I have designed with paints, fabric, paper, wood, cork, stone, found materials and mixed media for over 25 years.
I am drawn to the idea of rebuilding—not just as a physical process, but as a conceptual framework for reimagining our relationship to the world around us. In this rebuilding, there’s both the acknowledgment of what’s been lost and a commitment to the possibility of transformation.
My artwork invites the viewer to experience art not just as a visual object, but as an interactive sensory journey through a concept’s spatial and tactile essence. I aim to explore both destruction and creative construction, and to offer a space where new narratives can emerge—ones that speak to resilience, hope, and the ongoing need for creative regeneration.
