My work is about beauty. I find beauty in the nuances of color and light that is all around us, especially in the forests, green spaces and waterways of New York. When I walk in these spaces, I am uplifted into the realm of visual beauty, and I am able to transcend this reality into a different realm of meditation and joy, transforming the ordinary into the extraordinary. Art is an integral part of my life. It allows me to challenge, dissect, and make decisions on elements that are intellectual and intangible in the physical aspect of living. But it also colors the physical and intrudes in everything I do. I’ve been working in art and painting my entire life. Styles evolve slowly from one to another in a natural rhythm, paralleling my life; life becomes reflected in the work.
