For me art is often found in the details. When starting a new piece I tend to focus on the finer points to develop striking scene. “Each time I start a new piece, I feel as though I’m starting on a new adventure, “I never know where it may take me!” “As it turns out, I developed a real passion for painting and had a natural ability to look around me and create from nature my own interpretation of the world around through my art,” After a 20 year departure from painting (busy raising 4 boys) :) I came back to teach myself and develop my own style. Anything and everything can inspire me to pick up my paint brush and get to work. “It’s like breathing, it just comes natural to me. “I find that with oils I can achieve the luminosity and mood in my pieces unlike any other mediums I have worked with,” I want my paintings to evoke a sense of joyful nostalgia that reminds viewers of their favorite memories or transports them to a place of peace and beauty.
