I am creating works on paper with watercolor, INK and Gouache. My process begins with insight. I search within myself to find a color or a shape and compose and paint what I see. Every color has a voice. Color harmony creates voices which vibrate within the soul of both the artist and the viewer. These visual voices reach out to an audience much like a symphony or a musical score; both are attractive and seductive. Paintings reveal themselves to me as I focus and follow the paint. Throughout the process there is time for painting smaller and larger areas, with time to step back to see the overall painting. I live in a very wooded area and the seasons affect color choices. Nature brings much joy and serenity. I work form memories of what I have observed from nature for many years.
