MASSACHUSETTS CHAPTER

The Massachusetts Chapter,  was established on December 6, 2013. This Chapter carries out the mission of the National Association of Women Artists, Inc. in the state of Massachusetts.  The National Association of Women Artists, Massachusetts Chapter aims to foster public awareness of and interest in visual art created by women in the United States and internationally. The Chapter has an active program of exhibitions, seminars and other educational activities. The Massachusetts Chapter has its own roster of officers and committee Chairs.

Membership: All NAWA Signature Members are eligible for membership in the Massachusetts Chapter. All artists wishing to join the Massachusetts Chapter must first be juried into NAWA’s National Signature Membership.

To become a member of the Massachusetts Chapter, please send a check for the annual dues of $30 (renewable in October and not prorated if juried in March), to the Treasurer of the Massachusetts Chapter:

As we move into the 9th year of NAWA MA, we thank our talented members and a board of dedicated, committed world professionals working together toward our mission:”fostering awareness and recognition of visual art created by women.” It’s going to be the best year for us all!

The essential things are the conversations held, strengthening relationships, our connections with new and familiar faces, and welcoming new creative adventures of our members roaster! We support our members by providing in-person exhibition opportunities. These shows include ‘Permanent Impermanence’ at Dartmouth Cultural Center, ‘WHERE DO WE COME FROM? WHAT ARE WE? WHERE ARE WE GOING?’ at the Art Complex Museum, ‘Painters + Poets,’Being Human,’ curated by Dave Santulli, Founder/President of United Planet, ‘ART WITH INTENTION’ I & II AT Gallery Sitka, Newport; ‘TOGETHER AS ONE’ curated by Aimee Burg, Director of The Ely Center of Contemporary Art, ‘Time’ works chosen by Kaveh Mojtabai, founder and publisher of Artscope Magazine, Seaport, and ‘Self-Wareness and Love,’ at Wademan Gallery at Lasell University — PR visibility via sponsor Artscope Magazine i.e. ’18th Anniversary Issue’ and ‘Art Basel issue’ to be displayed during Art Basel Magazine sector, full-page Ads, Artscope bi-weekly eblast, Art Salon/Social/Art Chat, social media platforms, and TransCultural Exchange TCE TV, ongoing Hello World, An Art Affair Around the Globe and collaboration, SEBA, in supporting, strengthening, and unifying us as artists community, i.e., gatherings, in-person events, an ongoing rotating gallery on Newbury St, ‘Marketing and Social Media as Part of your ‘Creative Arsenal’ workshops -to celebrating our yearly Scholarship recipients, i.e. 2024 Grace O’Malley, $1500., Elisha Torres Bueno $1500., Abeer Hassan $1000. Art is one of the fundamental ways human beings express their perceptions, amplify hope, and create inspiration.
