Dear NAWA NOW:

Hoping this finds you well and enjoying a reemergence of a sort! I have been reading the summer magazine, and am, as usual, delightedly engaged with the content.

I’m writing now because I curated an exhibition this spring that I think might be of interest to NAWA members, especially those many who make art with a social and/or environmental focus. Beauty Passing Through Us: Natural History and Art as Intervention is an online exhibition at the Natural History Institute in support of the global art project, Extraction: Art on the Edge of the Abyss.

Here is a link to the Beauty Passing Through Us Exhibition:

Here is my curator’s statement: https://naturalhistoryinstitute.org/art-exhibition/  And here, the page from the Extraction website: https://www.extractionart.org/nhi

Thanks again for all the work you do on behalf of beauty and women’s art expression.

Best,

Edie

Hi Ladies,

The organization of The Quarterly Magazine on the NAWA site has improved enormously!!  I saw it myself this morning and Myrna Haskell pointed it out to me too, this morning.  It’s TRUE!  Thank you so much, Sandra!  The magazine itself was beautifully put together, and now, accessing it is also made very clear.

Thanks,

Pam Krimsky

(Note to Readers:  FYI – Myrna Haskell is a NAWA board member and Founding Editor of Sanctuary Magazine, Empowering and Inspiring Women with Compelling Content.  We encourage you to follow this terrific online resource for women.)
