This NAWA juried exhibit is for current regular juried in NAWA members only.

GUIDELINES:
Definition: Must be original work, no Giclée, in classically defined fine art categories: Oil, Acrylic, Wax, Photography, Mixed Media, Collage, Sculpture, Printmaking, Pastels, Watercolors, Mosaics, Ceramics, Fiber Arts. (Digitally created art must be recognized as such in the description/title.) Video art not accepted.

SPECIFICATIONS:

  • Maximum size for 2-D wall works and wall hanging sculpture INCLUDING frame: 48” x 48” (no exceptions).
  • No ceiling hung artworks will be accepted.
  • Free standing sculpture will be accepted; maximum size: must fit on an 18” x 18” pedestal. Pedestals will be provided.
  • Size of work is FRAMED size. Works over the maximum size will be disqualified.
  • No saw tooth hangers. All works must be wired to gallery standards and must meet professional presentation standards as interpreted by the NAWA Exhibition Committee.
  • Plexiglass required for all works on paper. Exception: pastels can be framed in glass.
  • Accepted works cannot be substituted and must be available for the duration of the exhibition.
  • ALL WORKS MUST BE FOR SALE. Price, title, dimensions of entered work cannot be changed.
  • Graphic violence and/or lewd sexual content prohibited. Nudes are acceptable at the discretion of the committee.
  • Work will not be hung if it is damaged in transit. We will notify you immediately if your work arrives damaged.
  • Unframed canvas art work must have the sides painted (not left white).
  • NAWA reserves the right to refuse work not professionally presented.

Make sure your images are 1100 pixels @ 72 dpi on longest side, in JPG format, RGB color space and they MUST BE LABELED

Images that are not labeled will not be considered.

DETAILS:
Please describe materials used and technique as well as the process used. IE: Encaustic, acrylic, oil, wax, etc., F-Stop, shutter speed, canvas, metal, wood…

ENTERING YOUR IMAGES:

  • Entry form must be filled out in its entirety. List sizes up to the nearest inch. Size of work is framed size. Works over maximum size will be disqualified. Submitted images must not include matting or frame. Crop the photos to include only the artwork. Be sure your images are right-side-up. Images should be of good quality and no larger than 2MB, 1100 pixels on the longest side at 72 dpi. Images should be in JPEG format.

SALES:

  • NAWA receives 15% commission and the Banana Factory received 15% on all sales. Artist will receive 70%
  • Price of entered work cannot be changed

DELIVERY/SHIPPING

  • Artists agree to assume all shipping expenses related to exhibition. Shipped work MUST include a prepaid bar-coded return shipping label (UPS or FEDEX only– NO COUNTER LABELS, no US Postal Service).
  • NO STYROFOAM PACKING PEANUTS. Your work will be returned if it contains packing peanuts. Please inform your shipper if you have it packed professionally. Ship in sturdy, reusable cartons with adequate packing materials. Please use bubble wrap as opposed to air bags which tend to deflate at the end of the exhibition. Please do not use oversized boxes for artwork. We cannot store them.
  • Please tape return shipping label, along with the exhibition artwork ID label and a one-page resume, to the back of your artwork.
  • Please mark the name of the exhibition on the outside of the box: NAWA/Harmony.
  • Accepted artwork may be hand delivered OR shipped – and MUST arrive at the Banana Factory (25 West Third Street, Bethlehem, PA 18015) between May 16 – 22, 2022
