Art in Conversation with Farrin with Guest Ingrid Van Slyke

Loading Exhibitions/Events

Ingrid has always loved being creative. Trained as a registered nurse, Ingrid switched careers to follow her passion in painting and now paints full time, as well as teaches art in Upstate NY. Her pastel paintings have been included in exhibitions at the National Arts Club and The Salmagundi Club in New York City as well as other art spaces throughout the country. She is currently obtaining her MFA in painting at the Savannah College of Arts and Design. The inspiration for her paintings comes from witnessing the natural seasons as they shift from one to another and allowing nature to be her teacher. Ingrid is a recorder of her natural environment, with the elements of light, shadow, color, movement, line, and shape, she is able to capture what she experiences.

We are so excited to have her with us to talk about her work and her practice.
